Vera Fiador is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Finance of the University of Ghana Business School and holds a PhD in Finance from the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town, South Africa. She has expertise in corporate finance, corporate governance, gender diversity, enterprise risk management, environmental and social risk management. She has a number of peer-reviewed publications to her name and has consulted for a number of reputable entities including the GIZ, IFC, SNV, OPM-GOGIG, KAIPTC, NBSSI and a number of local Ghanaian banks. Vera’s current consulting portfolio spans business and financial strategy development and interventions. Vera provides also corporate training in the areas of Finance and Investment. She has also developed and mounted several training programs targeted at small businesses. Vera is a member of the African Economic Research Consortium and was a visiting Scholar at the IMF, Washington DC.
